Ariel Schwartz received the Virginia Youth Soccer
Association's 2007 Dave Williams TOPSoccer Exemplary Service
Award.
The award was presented at the 2008 VYSA Annual Awards
Luncheon, February 2, 2008, in Richmond, VA.
Five years ago Ariel worked with Dave Williams to bring a
TOPSoccer program to Arlington.
- Since then, she has been the Buddy Coordinator,
publicist, and manager of the program.
- In 2005 she worked with the Arlington Soccer Association
to schedule a different rec team each week to work as
buddies.
- This past February she organized and led the First
Annual Dave Williams Memorial TOPSoccer Festival in Northern
Virginia, with more than 150 players, parents, and
volunteers in attendance.
Ariel has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages and a
special gift for working with children with disabilities, and
her compassion and commitment to helping others makes her
stand out among her peers. Ariel is a senior at Thomas
Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
