This is the final weekly Coaches Corner for
the fall season.
Of course, for some, soccer continues year round with
indoor leagues and pre- and post-season tournaments.
The Coaches Corner will publish occasionally
between now and the spring season.

Courses during the off-season
- Virginia Youth Soccer Association
VYSA offers coaching courses throughout the
Virginia and DC Metro area.
Their courses, including D, E and F coach licenses,
on their
Coaching Education Resources web page.
- Positive Coaching Alliance
The
Arlington County Sports Division will sponsor more PCA
training courses. We will publish a Coaches Corner
when courses are scheduled.
Check the
Positive Coaching Alliance website for more
resources for coaches and parents who want to make
youth sports a positive experience in which youth
athletes—from grade school through high school—learn
lessons that will last a lifetime.

The Arlington Soccer Association has soccer programs for kids
ages 5 – 18 in Arlington and Falls Church.
- Neighborhood recreational soccer teams for all boys &
girls.
- Teen soccer teams for high school-age players.
- Travel soccer teams for more competitive players
selected in tryouts.
- TOPSoccer brings the opportunity of learning and
playing soccer to any boy or girl, 4 - 19, who has a mental or
physical disability.
ASA youth soccer programs are sponsored in cooperation with the
Arlington County Department of Parks, Recreation, and
Cultural Resources and the Falls Church City Recreation &
Parks Department.
