ASA Board is looking for
volunteers
The ASA Board is looking for volunteers to help
with fund raising and sponsorships for our
neighborhood clubs, players, and the two new ASA
tournaments - the spring travel tournament and the
fall rec tournament.
If you know of anyone who has fund raising
experience and can help us, ask them to call Carla

"Soccer: Planet at Play" Ends
Sunday, Oct 29
National Geographic exhibit features
photographs of soccer around the world, plus video
highlights from U.S. Major League Soccer.
A fun trip for soccer families.
The NGS Museum Explorers Hall is at 17th and M
Streets NW. Admission is free. Open Monday through
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 10

- Gray Hoodie Sweatshirt
Diane Shinn, a South Arlington Soccer Club
parent, reports a lost gray hoodie sweatshirt
with NYC on the front. She believes it was left
at the Powhatan Springs field on October 8, the
Sunday tournament day.

about it.
- Gold Wedding Band
Scott Sevart reports he lost a gold wedding
band on Sunday, October 22, at the Nottingham
fields. He was mainly on the soccer field
sideline nearest to 29th st. He also spent a
little time on the other field also nearest to
29th st.
The inscription reads SDS MTR 1/04/96.

Travel Home Match of the Week

Come out and see the U14 Boys Venom (NCSL Div
1) take on the OLNY Pumas Sunday October 29
12:30pm at Virginia
Highlands field.
The Venom is coached by Jawed Sanie.

DC United Games |
|
 The 2006 MLS Playoffs have started.
The United play the Red Bulls at home, Sunday,
October 29, at 6:00 pm.
ASA ticket price is $25, regular price is $35,
and DC United black t-shirts are $5 for us.

The Arlington Soccer Association has soccer programs for
kids ages 5 – 18 in Arlington and Falls Church.
- Neighborhood recreational soccer teams for all
boys & girls.
- Teen soccer teams for high school-age players.
- Travel soccer teams for more competitive players
selected in tryouts.
- TOPSoccer brings the opportunity of learning and
playing soccer to any boy or girl, 4 - 19, who has a mental
or physical disability.
ASA youth soccer programs are sponsored in cooperation with
the Arlington County Department of Parks, Recreation,
and Cultural Resources and the Falls Church City
