Arlington Places Nine Players in the ODP Region 1 Pool

Congratulations to our Arlington players who were recently selected into the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Region 1 pool. These players were identified last fall as the top players in the state and spent the spring representing Virginia on their age group ODP Virginia state teams. In early July the players on each of the 15 state association teams in Region 1 spent several days at a Region 1 camp. The camp is designed to provide high level competition and training for participating players. During this training and competition, players who are capable of performing at a higher level of play are identified for possible regional and national pool or team participation.

At the conclusion of the Region 1 camp, the following Arlington players were selected into the Region 1 pool:

These players will now be brought into a four day call back camp later in late July where they will be eligible to be named to the top 18 players and become a member to the prestigious Region 1 Team. The Region Team competes against the other three regions in the US in an attempt to make the National team and catch the eye of college coaches.
