Arlington, Va. – Former Arlington Soccer Alumni midfielder Daniel Damiani has been listed as one of the eligible players for selection in the MLS SuperDraft 2020. The SuperDraft will take place on Thursday, January 9th in Baltimore MD. We wish Daniel the best of luck.
Damiani, a native of Alexandria, Va., played the past two years for the George Mason Patriots and started all 32 of his games played. Damiani recorded three goals and one assist for seven points in 15 games during the 2018 season. He played 17 games and registered one assist during the 2019 campaign.
Before joining the Patriots, Damiani appeared in 22 games and recorded two points in his two years at Virginia Tech.
Prior to his college soccer career, Daniel spent his prime development years playing in Arlington for the extremely successful Arlington Impact Red (1997). Daniel was a key part of the team that won 3 state cup Championships, 1 Regional Championship, 1 National League Championship & 2 trips to the USYS National Championship where they finished as finalist and semifinalist. Daniel was coached by several current members of the Arlington Soccer Coaching Staff including Grant Smith, David Camara & Tony Damiani.
