ARLINGTON, Va. – Community partner Amazon will continue to be a proud sponsor of the Arlington Soccer Association, the club announced Thursday.
Amazon will remain the jersey partner of the club’s travel program, which supports more than 1,500 children annually. Since 2021, the Amazon logo has been on the back of all travel program uniforms, ensuring that “Arlington” remains on the front. Check out a video of the new uniforms here.
“Amazon is proud to continue our partnership with Arlington Soccer and support their work to be an inclusive soccer organization that draws people to soccer,” said Patrick Phillippi, senior manager of Community Engagement for Amazon. “We are working to be the best neighbor and partner to this community that we can possibly be, and we are grateful to Arlington Soccer for their work to bring soccer to people of all abilities, backgrounds and financial means.”
Amazon also provides aid to the club’s community-based programs that bring soccer to children at low-income schools in the Arlington community and provides financial aid assistance to countless players. Amazon also will again be partnering with Arlington Soccer to sponsor the club’s second annual Soccerfest on Oct. 9 at Long Bridge Park.
“For the last two years, Amazon has been an amazing partner of our youth soccer programs,” Arlington Soccer Executive Director Frank DeMarco said. “We are grateful for not only their support of our travel program, but for their contributions to our community programs as well.”
As Amazon opens Metropolitan Park in Arlington’s National Landing neighborhood this month, the multinational technology company remains committed to giving back. Since announcing its second headquarters would be located in Arlington in 2018, Amazon has donated more than $161 million to local nonprofits, community groups and schools in the DMV region.
