Arlington Soccer Association Announces Appointment of Matt Badiee as the Director of Coaching Education
Arlington Soccer Association is pleased to announce the hiring of Matt Badiee as the Director of Coaching Education for the club. In this role, Matt will develop the club’s education department with a focus on a club-wide curriculum. To that end, the coaching education staff will serve all programs in Arlington Soccer working with volunteer and professional coaches. Matt will work to incorporate an interactive site where coaches and players are able to connect and get the latest information regarding training and information on USSF standards. In addition to intra-club education, Matt will help emphasize the creation of a pathway for coaches to continue their development through placement at USSF coaching schools.
Matt brings over 35 years of combined playing and professional experience to Arlington Soccer Association. A results-driven leader in the soccer community, he has been recognized for his top performance in technical leadership as well as for building and improving successful programs at the club, state, regional and national levels. In 2003, Matt was recognized as the Boys Virginia Coach of the Year.
Matt holds UEFA A, KNVB Level II, CBF Advance, USSF A, DFB A International, UEFA GK, and USSF GK licenses. He also serves as a USSF Scout and is a member of the staff for the National USSF Coaching Education. Matt is also a nine-time Boys Region 1 Champion, a 2-time Girls Region 1 Champion, Winner of ODP National Championship, and 3-time runner up of the ODP National Championship. With over 20 professional players developed who now play internationally for Germany, Portugal, France and the United States, Matt brings a wealth of player development experience to Arlington Soccer. “With his vast experience and unparalleled passion for the game, we believe Matt is an exciting addition to our organization and he will help us further develop our coaches, players, and our club,” said German Peri, Director of Coaching.
