Adam Brick appointed Executive Director of Arlington Soccer Association.
(Arlington, VA), (November 1, 2017): The Board of Directors of the Arlington Soccer Association has selected Adam Brick, as its next Executive Director.
“Adam truly understands ASA and is a great fit to lead our organization,” said Ron Malachowski, Board President. “He brings new ideas, a wealth of experience, a renewed focus on the player experience, and a desire to strengthen our community and business partnerships.”
Brick’s diverse career in athletic administration spans thirty years in the Washington metropolitan area. He served in multiple capacities at Georgetown University, including Athletic Director in 2004-05. At Georgetown, he was the sport administrator for men’s and women’s soccer, and helped launch the women’s soccer program in the 1990’s while continuing to work with coaches across a wide range of team and individual sports.
Most recently, Brick led external relations for athletics at George Mason University. At George Mason, Brick was a member of the leadership team that successfully secured the naming rights for EagleBank Arena, and he was a key figure in the university’s successful move from the Colonial Athletic Association to the Atlantic 10 Conference.
He is a member of the Virginia State Bar and received his Juris Doctorate and BS in Marketing from Georgetown University. He worked as a consultant and taught Sports Ethics, Sports Marketing and Sports Law at several universities. Brick is also an accomplished high-school basketball referee and worked numerous state tournaments.
Upon his selection, Brick commented, “I am honored and excited to lead ASA into its next era. ASA has a solid foundation built on the strength of its players, coaches, staff, volunteers and the relationship with its community partners. While there may be some challenges ahead, it is clear to me that they are far outweighed by the opportunities, particularly when we all work together with the common purpose to provide a transformative experience for our players.”
