How are teams formed in Arlington Soccer?
The following staff works together to ensure the proper team placement for the players:
- Current Team Coach
- Incoming Coach (if applicable)
- ECNL Directors / Age Group Managers
- Director of Coaching
- Technical Director
If a new coach this year takes over the team, how will they know about the players?
Over the course of the year, Coaches and Directors have regular meetings to review and discuss team needs and player performance. Leading up to player selection, each coach provides feedback and an overview of their current players. The coaches from the current year provide information to incoming coaches so that everyone is on the same page. Additionally, coaching staff may attend training sessions and games before the official team placement.
How does Arlington Soccer evaluate players ?
Our club utilizes a well developed curriculum and we are dedicated to ensuring each coach is trained in teaching and coaching age appropriate concepts within our style. ID sessions are run with these methodolgies in mind and players are evaluated for their ability to compete and develop within our playing style and philosophy. As players get older and progress through the Academy, coaches build on concepts as players become more comfortable and confident. This ultimately allows our players to have more success and opportunities to compete at the highest level and into adulthood.
